Drips above the slide since the topper
2021 travel trailer, 13 ft living room slide, Carefree slideout cover (slide topper) added by the selling dealer this spring. 30A shore, room out
Customer says: Since the dealer put the awning over the slide, water drips off the trim above the slide inside when it rains.
Water stain on the inside trim above the slide opening, worst at the front end.
Tests you can run
- Ask when it started and when it drips
- Moisture meter along the header trim above the slide, inside
- Light test on the room seals, room in and then out
- Look at the top wiper and the room roof
- Look at the topper fabric and roller with the room out
- Look at the topper rail on the sidewall above the room
- Water test from the bottom up, meter on the header: room seals and corners, the topper brackets on the room, then the rail
- Look at the roof edge trim above the rail
- Replace the top wiper and bulb seals
