Recall 19V753000 (21/10/2019): TRAILER HITCHES
Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Sport, Nest, Flying Cloud, International Serenity, International Signature, Classic, Globetrotter and Tommy Bahama trailers and 2020 Basecamp, Bambi and Caravel trailers. Due to improper welding, the Demco ball coupler installed on the travel trailers may not provide enough clamping force on the tow ball, potentially causing the coupler to separate from the tow ball.
Fix: Airstream will notify owners, and will send a temporary use adaptor that can be slipped over the ball portion of the coupler to allow owners to tow their trailers. For the final remedy, dealers will add a shim plate to the backside of the ball coupler clamp to put it in position to apply the required clamping force on the tow ball, free of charge. The recall began November 13, 2019. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 extension 7401 or 7411.
What a tech checks: Bearings, brake magnets, worn shackle bolts and bent axles. A trailer that wears tires on the inside edge or pulls to one side usually has an axle or suspension problem. Before you buy: Bolts tight, springs not flat, brakes apply with the breakaway pin pulled.

Recall 19V334000 (29/04/2019): EQUIPMENT
Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2018-2020 International, Sport, Flying Cloud, Classic, Tommy Bahama, Globetrotter, and Nest travel trailers. The forward end of the spare tire carrier may contact the ground while the trailer is moving possibly resulting in the carrier and spare tire separating from the vehicle.
Fix: Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will install corrected spare tire carrier brackets, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 28, 2019. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111, extension 7401 or 7411.
Doors, windows, steps and lights: 1 complaint
What a tech checks: Mostly adjustments and wear: steps that stop halfway on a bad switch, doors out of alignment after a slide shifted, exterior lights with a corroded ground. Before you buy: Every door, lock, window and light.
What owners reported to NHTSA
09/20/2022, VISIBILITY/WIPER: The rear view mirror has been highly questionable since driving off the lot. Airstream assured me it was an easy fix. After trying to fix on numerous occasions. Oh, that is a Mercedes problem! I think if nothing else there should be a warning like most passenger side mirrors ( objects can be closer than they appear). Worst rear view and back up camera I have ever seen and owned. 4 years later still very dangerous!
