Recall 12V012000 (12/01/2012): WHEELS:HUB
THOR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 DUTCHMEN VOLTAGE AND RUBICON TRAILERS, MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 19, 2011 THROUGH DECEMBER 21, 2011. THE TRAILER WHEELS MAY NOT BE FULLY SEATED ON THE HUB AND THEREFORE MAY LOOSEN AND POTENTIALLY DETACH FROM THE TRAILER.
Fix: THOR WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE WHEELS, AND REPAIR THE TRAILERS AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 25, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT THOR INDUSTRIES, INC. AT 1-937-596-6849.
What a tech checks: Bearings, brake magnets, worn shackle bolts and bent axles. A trailer that wears tires on the inside edge or pulls to one side usually has an axle or suspension problem. Before you buy: Bolts tight, springs not flat, brakes apply with the breakaway pin pulled.

Recall 17V755000 (22/11/2017): EQUIPMENT
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Fix: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Recall 11V369000 (19/07/2011): FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
DUTCHMEN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 VOLTAGE TRAVEL TRAILERS MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 3, 2011, THROUGH JULY 8, 2011, AND MANUFACTURED WITH FUEL SUPPLY AND FUEL RETURN HOSES THAT MAY CONTAIN A SPLICE IN THE FUEL LINE.
Fix: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FUEL LINES BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK AND THE GENERATOR. IF A SPLICE IS FOUND, THE FUEL LINES WILL BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING AUGUST 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DUTCHMEN AT 1-574-537-0700.
What a tech checks: Regulator, lines and fittings, then the appliances: furnace, water heater, range. A proper pressure-drop leak test is the first thing a tech does on an LP complaint. Before you buy: Smell for gas with the tank open; have a shop do the leak test.

09/28/2018, TIRES: TIRE: GOODYEAR MARATHON ST23580R16 MOUNTED ON 2012 DUTCHMEN VOLTAGE V3200 5TH WHEEL TOY HAULER THIS IS THE EXPLOSIVE FAILURE OF TWO GOODYEAR MARATHON TIRES WITH 100 MILES OF EACH OTHER RESULTING IN SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE RV EACH TIRE HAD BEEN CHECKED PRIOR TO TRIP AND WERE PROPERLY INFLATED. 01/20/2012, WHEELS: TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DUTCHMEN VOLTAGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH THE BOLTS AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER ON HER BEHALF.
