What a tech checks: Voltage drop, grounds, the converter and the transfer switch. Melted shore-cord plugs and bad grounds cause most of the electrical complaints techs actually see. Before you buy: Battery at rest, converter output on shore power, GFCI test, every outlet.

What owners reported to NHTSA
07/03/2026, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The Opti-View Digital Dash module began delaminating causing cracks in the screen. This made it difficult to impossible to read the dashboard gauges including speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge & other operating gauges. I had to replace the dash module in order to safely operate the vehicle. I understand this is a common problem with the Freightliner Custom Chassis that the motorhome is built on.
