JAYCO IS RECALLING 1,673 MY 2005-2008 SENECA MOTOR HOMES. AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CAN OCCUR IF THE BATTERY CABLES WERE NOT TUCKED INTO THE COMPARTMENT IN A MANNER THAT DOES NOT ALLOW THE CABLES TO BE PINCHED BETWEEN THE BATTERY SLIDE TRAY AND THE COMPARTMENT DOOR.

Recall 17V746000 (21/11/2017): EQUIPMENT

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V746-9524.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf

Fix: Jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Fix: DEALERS WILL RELOCATE THE CONDUIT CLAMP AND ADD A RUBBER GROMMET TO ALLOW ADHESION. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 26, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAYCO AT 1-574-825-5861.

What a tech checks: Regulator, lines and fittings, then the appliances: furnace, water heater, range. A proper pressure-drop leak test is the first thing a tech does on an LP complaint. Before you buy: Smell for gas with the tank open; have a shop do the leak test.
