Recall 13V585000 (22/11/2013): LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES
Jayco Corporation (Jayco) is recalling all model year 2006-2014 Jayco, Starcraft, and Entegra towable travel, fifth wheel and camping trailers manufactured January 1, 2006, through April 30, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.
Fix: Jayco will notify owners, and Fastec will coordinate the inspection and replacement of the cylinders, as needed, free of charge. The began on January 31, 2014. Owners may contact Jayco at 1-574-825-5861 or Fastec at 1-800-837-2505.
What a tech checks: Mostly adjustments and wear: steps that stop halfway on a bad switch, doors out of alignment after a slide shifted, exterior lights with a corroded ground. Before you buy: Every door, lock, window and light.

07/06/2015, UNKNOWN OR OTHER: THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL SINCE JANUARY 2014 FOR A RECALL OF A FASTEC LOCK FOR CERTAIN RV LOCKS. WE RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THAT OUR JAYCO IS AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL AND CALL WESCO FASTEC FOR A REPLACEMENT CYLINDER. WE HAVE BEEN CALLING MONTHLY TO GET OUR REPLACEMENT, AND ALWAYS PROMISED TO GET IT IN 7 TO 10 DAYS. BUT AS OF JULY 6TH 2015 CALL WE STATED WE HAVE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE LOCK AS PROMISED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT A PART WOULD BE SENT OUT TO INITIATE THE RECALL REPAIRS.
