Recall 17V755000 (22/11/2017): EQUIPMENT
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Fix: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Recall 08V325000 (17/07/2008): EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER
KEYSTONE IS RECALLING 161,250 MY 2004-2007 FIFTH WHEEL AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION. THE REFRIGERATOR MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.
Fix: KEYSTONE IS WORKING WITH DOMETIC TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 08E032). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST THE OWNER IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. Recall 05V424000 (23/09/2005): WHEELS:RIM
ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS AND FIFTH WHEEL RECREATIONAL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH TREDIT 16" CHROME WHEELS, THE RIMS MAY HAVE POOR WELD QUALITY AND INSUFFICIENT PRESS FIT BETWEEN THE WHEEL RIM AND DISC.
Fix: KEYSTONE IS WORKING WITH TREDIT TIRE TO NOTIFY OWNERS AND HAVE THE WHEELS REPLACED. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 15, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT KEYSTONE AT 866-425-4369.
What a tech checks: Bearings, brake magnets, worn shackle bolts and bent axles. A trailer that wears tires on the inside edge or pulls to one side usually has an axle or suspension problem. Before you buy: Bolts tight, springs not flat, brakes apply with the breakaway pin pulled.

06/28/2010, TIRES: CARLISLE TIRE 225/75/R15 D - I PURCHASED THE TIRES 05/09 AND HAD 2,000 MILES ON THEM PRIOR TO LEAVING FOR VACATION ON 06/11/10. I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE ON 06/10/10 AND INFLATED TO 65PSI. APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES INTO MY TRIP THE LEFT FRONT TIRE EXPLODED AND I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF TO THE BURM ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. THE TIRE TORE OFF MY FENDER, DENTED THE SIDE OF THE CAMPER, AND RIPPED THE FLOOR CO
03/16/2010, EQUIPMENT: TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 COPPER CANYON RV (NA). THE CONTACT STATES HE RECEIVED THE RECALL ON THE REFRIGERATOR. S HE CONTACTED DOMETIC AND THEY TOLD HIM THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RE-CALL NOTICE STATES TO THE REMEDY THE FAILURE THEY WILL INSTALL SECONDARY BURNER HOUSING FREE OF CHARGE.
