Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport, Ventana, Dutch Star, New Aire, Canyon Star, 2019 Ventana LE, 2020-2022 Kountry Star, 2019-2020 Mountain Aire, London Aire, Essex, and 2021 Super Star vehicles. The wiring under the seats may be incorrectly secured, which can lead to a pinched wire in the seat adjustment mechanism and cause an electrical short circuit.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and secure the wiring, adding circuit breaker and fuse protection as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 10, 2022. Owners may contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300.
Recall 23V469000 (07/07/2023): SEAT BELTS:REAR/OTHER:ANCHORAGE
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Bay Star, 2020-2023 Bay Star Sport, and 2022-2023 Super Star motorhomes. The seat belt brackets for the dinette seat belts were modified to avoid interference with the vehicle slide-out rollers in the floor. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 210, "Seat belt Assembly Anchorages" and 207, "Seating Systems."
Fix: Dealers will replace the seat belt mounting brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 4, 2023. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 604RSB.
What a tech checks: Mostly adjustments and wear: steps that stop halfway on a bad switch, doors out of alignment after a slide shifted, exterior lights with a corroded ground. Before you buy: Every door, lock, window and light.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Bay Star, Ventana, New Aire, 2019-2020 Canyon Star, Bay Star Sport, Essex, King Aire, London Aire, Mountain Aire, 2018-2021 Dutch Star, 2020 Kountry Star, and 2019 Ventana LE recreational vehicles. The adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window may fail.
Fix: Dealers will inspect the windows, and replace the vent if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 10, 2021. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 21E 047.

Recall 26V108000 (24/02/2026): STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Bay Star and Bay Star Sport motorhomes. The hood stops mounting adhesive may fail, which can allow the hood stop to detach while the vehicle is in transit.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and reinstall the hood stop brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 627 RSB.
What a tech checks: Roof sealant, seams, window and slide seals, and the frame. Water intrusion shows up as delamination, soft floors and stained ceilings months after the leak started. Before you buy: Press the sidewalls and walk the floor; look at every seam and seal.

Recall 20V719000 (20/11/2020): EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Bay Star and Ventana, 2019 Ventana LE, 2020 Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Kountry Star and Super Star and 2021 Bay Star Sport motorhomes equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves. The stove's saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.
Fix: Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. The recall began January 18, 2021. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 20E 071.
What a tech checks: Regulator, lines and fittings, then the appliances: furnace, water heater, range. A proper pressure-drop leak test is the first thing a tech does on an LP complaint. Before you buy: Smell for gas with the tank open; have a shop do the leak test.

Axles, brakes, suspension and hitch: 4 complaints
What a tech checks: Bearings, brake magnets, worn shackle bolts and bent axles. A trailer that wears tires on the inside edge or pulls to one side usually has an axle or suspension problem. Before you buy: Bolts tight, springs not flat, brakes apply with the breakaway pin pulled.

09/16/2021, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,WHEELS,SERVICE BRAKES: On this 2021 Bay Star Sport 2702 motorhome from August 3 through September 15, the "Brake Applied - Power Reduced" light on the unit's console came on 42 times. This is a sporadic occurrence which is a very safety hazard and an accident is going to happen causing death to others. 08/28/2025, STRUCTURE,EQUIPMENT: The contact owns a 2021 Newmar Bay Star Sport RV. The contact stated while driving the RV, the overhead bunk detached. The contact stated that the failure impaired his vision while driving. The RV was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was a fix for the failure. The dealer installed two straps, one on each side to catch the overhead bunk in the event of another failure. The RV was repaired. T
08/04/2025, STRUCTURE: So I just had my oil changed. And when they shut the hood, the hood stop fell out the bottom. They really just glued the hood stop on? This is allowed? And they didn't even do it properly. And I'd know. I'm a former ASE Certified Master Tech. 07/01/2021, SUSPENSION: The mounting brackets for the rear axel sway bar was missing a bolt in each bracket. Passenger side bracket was hanging below sway bar, driver's side had top bolt missing and was loose. Talked to Ford tech and was told to install a grade 8 bolt with a lock washer and nut. These bolts are M16s, grade 10.9, can I replace them with 5/8 inch grade 8 bolts?
02/04/2022, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: We had Ford recall #21S17 performed on our 2021 Bay Star Sport. Upon leaving the Ford dealership to return to our camp I started receiving warning lights and an error message on my console. Message was “hill assist disabled”, warning lights were for ABS , TCS operations. We called the dealership and we’re told to return to them.
