Recall 20V498000 (21/08/2020): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Hurricane and Windsport motorhomes, models 27B, 29M, 32T, 33X, 34J, 34R and 35M. The electronic control center circuit board may be damaged from voltages over 17 volts causing damage to the circuit board.
Fix: Thor will notify owners, and dealers will add an additional circuit module to the existing component board to provide reverse polarity and over-current protection, free of charge. The recall began October 20, 2020. Owners may contact Thor customer service at 1-877-855-2867. Thor's number for this recall is RC000203.
What a tech checks: Voltage drop, grounds, the converter and the transfer switch. Melted shore-cord plugs and bad grounds cause most of the electrical complaints techs actually see. Before you buy: Battery at rest, converter output on shore power, GFCI test, every outlet.

Recall 23V121000 (24/02/2023): EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Hurricane and Windsport recreational vehicles. The driver and front passenger overhead cabinets may detach.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and reinstall the overhead cabinets, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 15, 2023. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000290.

05/18/2021, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The 2021 Thor Windsport would not start. The batteries were tested and had sufficient power to start the motorcoach. The motorcoach was towed to the dealer, Camping World in Berkley Massachusetts. The technician(s) replaced the batteries and attempted to start the motorcoach at which time sparks and there is evidence of fire as burnt wiring and electrical components are viewed in the battery compartment.
