Recall 21V753000 (28/09/2021): EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:PLUMBING:POTABLE WATER:STORAGE TANK
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Wayfarer vehicles. The rear-center holding tank water pan bolts may pull through the lip of the pan, allowing the tank to drop down onto the exhaust pipe.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and as necessary, replace any damaged holding pans. In addition, metal straps and a washer plate will be installed. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 29, 2021. Owners may contact Tiffin customer services at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is WAY-102.
What a tech checks: Pumps that cycle, fittings that split after a freeze, and tank valves. Most plumbing complaints are leaks from fittings behind walls, found with the pump running and the taps closed. Before you buy: Pump on, taps closed: it should stop and stay stopped.

Tires: 1 complaint
What a tech checks: Age, load range and pressure. RV tires age out before they wear out, and an underrated tire on a heavy trailer is a blowout waiting to happen. Before you buy: Read the DOT date and the load range on the sidewall.
