Delamination and water damage
When water gets into a laminated wall, the outer skin separates from the panel behind it. It shows as bubbles or waves you can push in.
The short version
- Press on the sidewall. Bubbles, waves and soft spots mean the bond is gone.
- Find and fix the leak first. Repairing delamination without stopping the water is wasted money.
- Note how big the area is and photo it. Large areas are often a wall replacement, not a repair.
- Check below windows, around doors and lower front corners, where water collects.
