Power awning does nothing
2018 class C, 12V power patio awning. On battery
Customer says: I press the awning switch and nothing happens. Not a sound.
Tests you can run
- Do other 12V items work?
- Check the awning fuse
- Voltage at the switch input
- Voltage at the switch output with the switch pressed OUT
- Voltage at the motor plug while pressing OUT
- Power the motor directly with jumper leads
- Wire continuity from switch to motor plug, both ends disconnected
- Replace the awning motor
