Customer says: The AC hummed for a while and now ice is coming out of the vents. The fan barely moves air.
Tests you can run
- Check the filter
- Feel the air at the vents
- Spin the fan by hand from the roof, power off
- Discharge and test the run capacitor (label 40/5 µF)
- Fan motor amps
- Voltage at the unit, running
- Give the fan a push with a stick while it's powered
- Replace the fan motor
