AC runs but barely cools
2019 travel trailer, 15,000 BTU rooftop AC, non-ducted. 30A shore
Customer says: The AC runs all day but the coach won't get below 82. It was fine yesterday.
Two dogs travel with them.
Tests you can run
- Temperature drop, return air vs supply air
- Check the filter and return air
- Look at the evaporator coil
- Test the run capacitor
- Voltage at the unit, running
- Check the indoor fan on high
- Thaw the coil, install a clean filter, run it again
- Knock the ice off the coil with a screwdriver
