One wheel runs hot
2016 travel trailer, tandem axle. Just off the highway
Customer says: One wheel was smoking a little at the gas station. It's way hotter than the others.
Tests you can run
- Infrared on all four hubs
- Jack it up with the bottle jack and crawl under to look
- Jack it, set a stand under the axle, spin and rock the wheel
- Brake wire voltage with the truck unplugged
- Pull the hub and look at the grease and bearings
- Inspect the spindle
- Pump grease into the hub and send it
