Trailer lights act possessed
2019 travel trailer, 7-way connector, LED tail lights. Truck running, 7-way plugged in
Customer says: When I hit the brakes the marker lights come on, and the turn signal flashes fast. Sometimes everything flickers.
Lights work on a different truck a little better, but still odd.
Tests you can run
- 7-way tester on the truck socket
- Voltage drop: trailer frame to the truck's negative battery post, brakes applied
- Look inside the trailer's 7-way plug
- Ohms from the 7-way ground wire to the trailer frame
- Check each light for the right bulb or LED module
- Replace the trailer's tail light converter box
