Water heater lights then faults
2016 fifth wheel, Suburban SW10DE gas/electric water heater. 30A shore
Customer says: On gas, the water heater lights, runs for a few seconds, then the fault light comes on. Electric side works.
You can hear the burner light and go out from outside.
Tests you can run
- Watch the burner through the access door on a gas start
- LP pressure at the water heater
- Pull the electrode assembly and inspect
- Ohms from the burner tube to the board ground
- 12V at the gas valve during the trial
- Replace the circuit board
- Replace the gas valve
