Micro-Air EasyStart soft start fault codes

A soft starter wired into the rooftop compressor circuit so the compressor can start on a small generator or a 30A pedestal. It learns the compressor over the first starts and then limits inrush. A fault stops the compressor and the status LED blinks a count, with a pause between sets. The fan still runs.

EasyStart: 1 blink

Unexpected current, learning problem. Run the relearn procedure on shore power. If it returns, the EasyStart itself is suspect.

EasyStart: 2 blinks

Over current: run current above the limit or above what it learned. Relearn. Then look for the real cause: a failing compressor, a dirty condenser, or a weak run capacitor.

EasyStart: 3 blinks

Power interruption or short cycle timer. Normal for a few minutes after a stop. If it is a real interruption, check the inverter transfer, the surge protector, a generator overload, cords and breakers.

EasyStart: 4 blinks

Compressor overload open. The compressor is hot. Check condenser airflow and the fan. If airflow is fine the compressor is on its way out.

EasyStart: 5 blinks

Stall: compressor will not come up to speed. Check voltage at the unit while starting; a sagging generator or long cord does this. Check wiring and the run capacitor.

EasyStart: 6 blinks

Wrong line voltage for the model. A 120V-only unit on 240V. Check the model against the supply.

EasyStart: 7 blinks

No signal from the start winding. Orange wire not on the start winding, start winding open, or L2 wired straight to it. Power off, check continuity black to orange.

Codes come from the maker manuals and public service sheets. Your model's own chart always wins, and LP and 120 volt work belongs to a qualified technician.
